Dealer Plate Registration – $50 Per Plate (Annual)

Park Sell Buy requires all participating dealers to complete dealer and plate registration before attending any events. The registration fee is $50 per plate, valid for one calendar year. The ability to register for future event lot spaces only applies after your dealership and plates have been verified.

Once a verified dealer selects an event, they may purchase available lot spaces up to or equal to the number of registered dealer plates. Upon this purchase, Park Sell Buy will automatically complete and submit the required Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS) Off-Site Sales Notification Form on your behalf. The first lot space purchased for each event automatically triggers this process—our system generates and files the DPS form for you. No additional action or fee is required.

Note: Minnesota law limits off-site sales activity to licensed dealers who are based in the same county where the event is held. If your dealership is located outside the event’s county, you are not eligible to participate in that event. Minnesota Statutes, Section 168.27

Registration Includes:

• Dealer account setup and verification

• Review of:

  • Dealer License

  • Surety Bond

  • Active Insurance

• Verification of each dealer plate

Vehicle Display Requirements:

• All motor vehicles on-site must have a registered dealer plate displayed at all times

• Dealers are encouraged to register 2–4 plates to ensure sufficient vehicle coverage

• Only verified plates may be assigned to lot spaces

Watercraft Dealers:

• Must register both the trailer plate and the associated Hull Identification Number (HIN) for each vessel.

• Each registered plate allows registration of an equal number of HINs.

• Boats may occupy additional lot spaces using only the HIN if the vessel is delivered via a registered trailer, de-trailered, and staged in a display space for the full duration of the event.

• Dealers must assign specific trailer-HIN pairings through the platform, and the same trailer must deliver and remove all HINs registered under that plate.

Camper Dealers:

• Camper dealers are initially restricted to events only in their dealership’s home county, in accordance with Minnesota law.

• Unlock Rule: The platform will automatically lift the county restriction for a specific event once seven (7) camper dealers have each completed registration and purchased at least one lot space.

• Important: Out-of-county camper dealers must purchase at least one lot space for their registration to count toward unlocking the restriction. For example:

  • 3 in-county dealers + 4 out-of-county dealers (with at least one lot space each) = restriction lifted

Sunday Sales Compliance:

Under Minnesota Statute 168.275, motor vehicle sales by licensed dealers are prohibited on Sundays.

To comply:

• All dealer vehicles must be locked and unattended during Sunday event hours.

• No dealer staff may be present at or near the vehicle display area on Sundays.

• Vehicles may be removed before or after the show on Sunday, but not during.

• Each dealer vehicle or watercraft must display a QR-coded window or hull sticker, enabling attendees to scan and view information without live interaction.

Vendor Insurance Requirement:

• Any dealership that registers more than three (3) dealer plates for a single event will be considered a vendor.

• These dealerships must list Park Sell Buy and the event host as additional insureds on their insurance policy for the duration of the event.

• Proof of updated coverage must be submitted before check-in.

Additional Notes:

• Registration does not include event access—lot spaces must be purchased separately

• Dealer registrations will not be accepted within 5 days of the event

• The $10 state filing fee is included with the first lot space purchase per event

Private Party Vehicle Space Rental – $60 Plus Tax Per Boat

What’s Included:

• One reserved display spot, assigned based on Boat type.

• Two full days of exposure in a high-traffic location next to the Minnesota State Fair

• Access to the Park Sell Buy online platform to list and promote your boat

• Official Haul Stickers (must be displayed during event hours)

• Overnight Boat parking is allowed, with on-site security provided

• On-site staff support for setup and check-in

Event Rules:

• This is a static display event. Unless sold, boats may only be moved before 8:00 AM or after event hours.

• The boat must be fully parked and set up by 7:45 AM daily.

• Oversized Boats do not require the purchase of additional space(s)

• Registration constitutes a two-day Boat parking space lease agreement
